Students need confident Christian adult leaders around them. Churches need leaders who will help to disciple the next generation. It’s not easy to be a local church youth worker – volunteer or paid. And that’s why we are once again hosting The Well in October 2013. As we begin the ninth season, this seminar, more than ever, lines up with our mission to help the church make disciples.
If you are local youth worker, you’re invited to register for one of six locations that will host the same three hour program. The goal is to “bring the seminar to you” and create a structure that is affordable and schedule friendly. There is also a great discount to encourage you to bring your team.

TOPICS FOR THE 2013 WELL – FOR YOUTH WORKERS
Building Sustainable Ministry
Monkeys, Frogs, and Balconies – Time Management, Collaboration, and Delegation
The $100 challenge on volunteer recruitment – The Fail Proof Way to Recruit Volunteers
Every session (some are in the morning some are the in the evening) are identical. Each of these three topics will be covered. Each participant will receive a packet and there will also be time for interaction with other youth workers who are present. I (Tim Price) will lead a brief time of worship and Kim Przybylski from Harvest Ministry will be the conference host. A booktable will be available to purchase resources if you choose. And a meal will be served at each location (for the morning session lunch, which is included in the registration fee, is provided at 12:00, just at the close of the event and for the evening session, which is also included in the registration rate, the meal is provided at 6:25 pm, about half way through the session).
It’s a quick, awesome time of learning and refreshment and if I could, I would pay every youth worker to attend one of these! However, we do our best to make it affordable and though a session like this would typically range from $75 to $100, for the fall of 2013, thanks to a couple of grants, the rate is $30 for the first person from a local church and $15 for any additional person who may be able to join you from the same church.
You can expect there to be anywhere from 12 – 26 people at each site.
Monday, October 7 – Effingham, IL (evening session)
Tuesday, October 8 – Belleville, IL (morning session)
Tuesday, October 8 – Edwardsville, IL (evening session, location tentative)
Thursday, October 10 – Springfield, IL (evening session)
Thursday, October 17 – Carbondale, IL (morning session)
Tuesday, October 22 – Champaign, IL (evening session)
All denominations are invited to participate. Host churches vary in denomination from United Methodist, to American Baptist to Presbyterian to Non-Denominational.
