Today, March 4, is the only command of the calendar year. March Fourth. I always think about this day when it rolls around. I usually try to think of one new idea for the future on March 4. But mainly, it’s just another beautiful, fun Midwest day.
This morning I was thinking about Scriptures that invite us to march forth. Here are a few:
INVITE PEOPLE TO JESUS
“Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. – Luke 14:23
GO, TRUSTING IN GOD
Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. – Luke 10:3
SHARE THE GOOD NEWS
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
ACTIVELY FORGIVE AND BRING PEACE
Leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God. – Matthew 5:24
TRUST IN GOD, FIND YOUR STRENGTH IN GOD’S PRESENCE
This is my command–be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
Walking in faith is one of action – going – living! Are you going forth today?
