Three Simple Rules

three simple rules

Three Simple Rules, by Rueben Job, is seven years old now, but was a great theme for a recent student ministry retreat at our church.  Broken up into four sections – the overview, then a look at each of the three rules, it fit perfect for the Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning sessions during the retreat!  See the detailed retreat schedule.

It was something students could grasp, remember and take home.  But it also provided tons of opportunity for questions, conversations and learning.

The three simple rules are:  1) Do no harm, 2) Do good, and 3) Stay in love with God.

At the end of the retreat, the youth pastor gave each high school student a copy of the book.  He had written a personal note in each one.  What a tangible close to the retreat and a reminder to live out these three rules in our lives as we follow Christ!

You can pick up a copy of this tiny little 75 page book at Amazon.
