One of my favorite parts of Harvest Ministry is working with a wide variety of young adults in worship ministry. Since Harvest began in 1996, there have been approximately 250 different people who have served on summer and weekend teams providing music and ministry leadership. I’m grateful for each person who uses their gifts in kingdom ministry. There have been literally countless hours invested over the last two decades by Harvest team members and my prayer has always been that the experience in Harvest would awaken in each one gifts for ministry in the church for the sake of the Great Commission.
Through the years, Harvest has recorded lots of music. The most recent recording was in Nashville, TN this past December. The team that served on this latest project was: Chase Weber, Hailee Anglin, Bobby Fairless, Alex Mitchell, Brian Caringer and Andrew Allsman.
Here’s a reflection about the recording experience from Andrew:
“Working with Harvest and other like-minded musicians to put together this worship album was an absolute blast. A lot of work went into making the songs what they are on the final production and it was incredible fun every step of the way. Traveling to Nashville and being a part of the countless memories that were made is something that will stick with me forever. But more importantly, being a part of a recording that will hopefully have a profound effect on the people who listen is something that I am extremely blessed to have experienced. I hope whoever finds these songs will have as much fun listening to them as I had recording them and that they will serve a far greater purpose than I can even comprehend.”
One thing that stood out to me when recording the new Harvest ep was the feeling that we were all a team. We had so much fun being cooped up in the studio, we laughed (a lot), we brainstormed, and we joked about almost anything you can think of. I also felt the presence of the Lord. It was cool be able to worship while we were recording. I was in a little room off by myself, so it was easy to lose myself in the song and just worship. This experience was one I will never forget! I am very thankful that I was able to be a part of it.
Here’s the music if you’d like to listen!
As always, proceeds from this album go to help Harvest continue in ministry and mission!
