The 2011 Well Wrap Up

The Well, a seminar for youth workers, has been happening each year since 2005.  It’s one of my favorite ways to help encourage and equip youth ministry leaders to effectively help the church reach the next generation.

My vision for The Well is that it would be an annual, no strings attached event for area youth leaders to gather for a three hour, nugget sized, budget friendly, high quality training time.  I also know that these “close to home” events are great for exposing busy volunteers to training.

Thanks to the hosting churches and host youth ministry leaders who provided a place to meet and a great meal for each event.  It’s so much fun to partner with you in this endeavor. The hosting churches and leaders were:  Bobby at Bethalto First; Luan at Belleville St. Matthew; Lisa atMt.VernonCentral Christian; John at Effingham Centenary and Lee at Springfield Cherry Hills.

Thanks to the Harvest Conference Staff who helped make it all possible.  Christine Fuesz created the booklets, the magazines, the online registration and the publicity.  Katie Murbarger traveled to each of The Wells to serve in resources and hospitality.  Suzanne Price was part of the team that helped put details together and serve at some of the events.  Tyler Lynn helped lead worship and other details for three of the events.

I also appreciated Greg Groves and Ricky Spindler, speakers for this year’s events.  Here are some of the one line lessons that came from them.

And a huge thanks to all of the youth ministry leaders who attended!  Thanks for investing some of your time in connecting with other youth ministry leaders.  My prayer is that the time was refreshing and will be fruitful in your ministry.  I’ll be praying for you and your ministries every Thursday this fall.

If you would be interested in considering hosting The Well at your church, contact us to receive the Host Church Requirements.  If you aren’t on the mailing list to receive information and updates about next year’s Well For Youth Workers, register your email or change your preferences on the Harvest Email List.

And don’t forget to join the Illinois Youth Ministry Network

Blessings!
