Macoutah, IL

I typically document churches I visit and Sunday morning was another great time!  Thanks for inviting me to preach and take part in your worship.

Bethel UMC is located in the growing community of Mascoutah, IL, right near Scott Air Force Base. The church had two morning worship services at 8:45 and 10:15.  Sunday school for all ages was during the 10:15 hour. During the first hour, there was a children’s worship.

From 9:45-10:15, the church served great refreshments and there were lots of people milling around.  It was a buzz of energy.

The first service was led with the band. The second service started with three songs from the worship band, then moved to piano, hymns and the choir for the remainder of the service.

I was glad to play with the worship team. Zack Funk, who has played with Harvest on several occasions, was recently hired as the worship leader at Bethel. The group did great.  And it’s always fun to play bass now and then.

Thanks for the invitation to be a part of your church and to share the message in the services.  Keep up the great work of being a light in the community and the region!
