Leaving For Ignition

Ignition-LogoToday, we’re leaving for Ignition, a middle school conference in Northern Illinois. The first ever Ignition Middle School Conference was hosted in Troy, IL back in the fall of 2004.  Since then, we have been with students in Troy each year, in Springfield for several years, in Champaign for a few years and in East Moline.

I love the opportunity we have to meet with students during these special weekends.  It’s always unique.  It’s always an eye opener into the power of Christ at work in young lives.

Today, we will hit the road with Bobby, Ricky, Millie, Kim, and Justin.  We will meet up with Trevor and Matt and will also be joined by my wife and daughters.  The goal is the same as it always has been – to share Christ with the students through music, worship, ministry, relationships, small groups and seminars.

Join me in praying for this event.  I know there are countless other weekend conferences just like it.  But this one is unique and powerful – because these middle school students matter – immensely – to God.

I’m grateful for the opportunity we have to partner with local churches and to take part in this ministry event.  If you’re a ministry leader and would ever be interested in hosting one of the Harvest Conferences, let me know.
