From Bonnie

Saturday evening we arrived at Ollie, Iowa. The next morning we shared songs and skits at Prairie View United Methodist Church in Ollie. After the service we enjoyed veggies and dip and homemade sweets with the congregation. Fun was had by all when we reentered the sanctuary for children’s church. Kids and adults alike laughed at silly skits and did crazy motions to upbeat songs. After the service, Harvest had the opportunity to join about twenty people from the congregation in packaging meals for Kids Against Hunger. For one hour we stood joyfully in an assembly line, stuffing bags with dehydrated vegetables, soy, protein, vitamins, and rice. The contents of these packs become a soup that starving people around the globe can eat. We packaged a total of 5,136 meals and had a blast working with new-found friends. img_0735
