I heard this old joke someplace:
A dog says, “my owner named me, he loves me, he cares for me… he must be God.”
A cat says, “my owner named me, he loves me, he cares for me… I must be God.”
Sorry to the all the cat lovers, but it’s sometimes true for us. We mistake the blessings, after a while, to be something we deserve. We begin to think that things revolved around us. We might begin to think of ourselves more highly than we need to.
In living, in worship, in team work – we have to be more like the dog. We must keep our priorities straight.
