On Friday night, Josh Eastin and I went to lead music for the Kaskaskia River District Picnic for the pastors. It was a really neat evening hosted at Epworth Camp. The food was delicious and the music turned out good. There were a handful of camp kids there and somehow, Josh wound up leading Banana’s United with all the pastors. I think there’s hope for the church. It was also fun to have Ruby and Suzanne travel with us that evening.
Saturday evening, Matt Renfro, Jeff Nail and I drove to Robinson, IL and met up with Kim Przybylski and Zak Stoldt for the Praise Fest. After listening to the Sonshiners Quartet, Harvest led from 8:00 – 9:30. It was a great crowd and tons of fun.
Sunday morning, I was at our church in Troy, IL and after the first half of the service, I left by the way, (thanks to the Troy UMC praise band for finishing the service) because I was invited to speak for the McKendree University New Student Orientation Chapel service in Lebanon, IL. Following the service, Suzanne, Ruby and I had lunch in the college cafeteria. It was a treat.
