My daughter has picked up a song from preschool and she walks around singing it most mornings.

It’s a reminder to me that much of what it takes to have a good day is a decision to do so. Our response to outward conditions can be formed based on our inward attitudes. Each day is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime gift and we have a chance to make it great.
So for today, remember – it’s special.
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15
