Don’t miss the original list [view here] of thirty great Midwest stops. We often will stop in the same places over and over as we travel with our worship ministry team. It’s always fun to take new people to the same places! Some of these places we’ve been to as a family and most all of them are budget friendly! Take a look… and let us know if you’ve been there.
31. Onondaga Cave, Leasburg, MO
Onondaga Cave State Park is a really nice place over all and the cave tour is amazing!

32. Helen Keller’s Birthplace, Tuscumbia, AL
This is an amazing stop in Northern Alabama. You walk around the grounds of the birthplace of Helen Keller, including the pump where she first learned to communicate. It’s an inspiring place.
33. Gas Station Petting Zoo, Oconomowoc, WI
For years Harvest has traveled past this unique general store, gas station, petting zoo combo! It’s always a fun stop if you happen upon this town in Wisconsin.

34. Lincoln’s New Salem, Petersburg, IL
We’ve visited this historic site on numerous occasions. It’s a really peaceful place and a great walk. New Salem is one of the first places Lincoln lived on his own and where he made connections that eventually led him to Springfield and eventually to the White House.
