The Castle is Gone

oceansandI took a walk this morning

along the water’s edge

And the sand was perfect.

The footprints, the castles, the marks and messages in yesterday’s sand are all washed away.

In it’s place: fresh, new, perfect.

The dawn of a new day is powerful.

A constant, rhythmic reminder that each day is a fresh start.

The castle can be built again –  a little better this time.

His mercy is new.

And even the best castle can’t compare to the great mercy of a fresh new day.

God’s faithfulness is experienced.

Grace is given – again.

Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lam. 3:23)
